The "spinning rust" hard drive on the game server is making bad noises, and while still operating I figured it's not long for this world so I purchased a SSD of the same capacity. The server is now down while I clone the data from the old drive and restart the machine. This message will be "commented" to when the game server is up and running again.
Don't bother running, you'll only die tired.

Game server is up and running again. Of course one finds more problems. Power supply did not want to start again. Good thing I had a spare and the CMOS battery was dead. But it was the original 9 year old supply and battery, so I can't complain I guess.
Don't bother running, you'll only die tired.
